TOP TEN Forbes Most Powerful People in the World



This week Forbes released its annual list of most powerful people in the world! Out of the 72 names release we present the TOP TEN.


1. Vladimir Putin - 62 years.


             

  The incumbent President of Russia Vladimir Putin gently steps up as number one Most Powerful Person on planet earth. He rose from Prime Minister of Russia from 1999 to 2000 to become President from year 2000 to 2008. He was then assigned Prime Minister again from 2008 to 2012, before winning the elections for Presidency from May 2012 till date. At the top for 15 years.  A real powerful man no doubt.   



2. Barack Obama - 53 years

                                                         



Charismatic Barack Husein Obama II, the first African American President of the United States of America out of 44 Presidents, is undoubtedly powerful. Did you know he was born in Honolulu, Hawai?


3. Xi Jinping - 61 years

















 The President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping follows suit as the third most powerful person. He served as Vice President from 2008 to 2013. Holding the top offices in party, state and military of the most populated country, his post is definitely one of power.


4.  Pope Francis - 77 years



The Bishop of Rome and the Sovereign of the Vatican City State, Jorge Mario Bergoglio is humbled to be the fourth on this list. Being the reigning Pope of the Catholic Church of over 1.1 billion members, his power and influence is undeniable worldwide. Did you know he worked as a nightclub bouncer before beginning his seminary studies?


5. Angela Merkel - 60 years
















The Most Powerful Woman in the world, Angela Merkel, serves, from 2005, as the first female Chancellor of Germany. She is also the first woman leader of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party which she attained in 2000. She was elected the President of the European Council and chaired the G8 in 2007. She's currently the longest serving incumbent Head of Government in the European Union. Now that's a woman.


6. Janet Yellen - 68 years


Janet Louise Yellen is incumbent and first woman Chair for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. She previously served as the  President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.


7. Bill Gates - 59 years


Currently the richest man in the world, valued at $82.2 Billion, and living in a $123 Million Mansion, William Henry Bill Gates III can't possibly be EVER devoid of power. Not bad for a Harvard drop-out huh? His charitable foundation, Bill and Melisa Gates Foundation, has given away over $30 Billion since 2000. Close your mouth.


8. Mario Draghi - 67 years



Mario Draghi was previously the Governor for the Bank of Italy from 2006 to 2011, and currently is the President of the European Central Bank.


9. Sergey Brin and Larry Page - Each 41 years


Larry and Sergey met at Standford University to acquire PhD s in Computer Science. However they abandoned their PhD and started Google in a rented garage. Now each of them is worth about $30 Billion, and have over 40,000 employees worldwide. You can Google the rest ...

10.  David Cameron  - 48 years


  The Right Honorable David William Donald Cameron is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the leader of the Conservative Party.
